Daylin is also an awesome speaker, and guest who will have much to share, and he will be a real joy for you, the listeners. • 01/26/12--20:30: RAINBOW TALK WITH YAZ - Jan 27,2012 (chan 3025107)
  • -Top 10 worse things thtat has ever happen to you on a date. -Things not to do or wear on a date. LGBT NEWS -How to Be an Ally to LGBT People Use the words “gay” and “lesbian” instead of “homosexual.” The overwhelming majority ofgay men and lesbians do not identify with or use the word “homosexual” to describethemselves. Use non-gender specific language. Ask “Are you seeing someone?” or “Are you in acommitted relationship?,” instead of “Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?” or “Are youmarried?” Use the word “partner” or “significant other” instead of “boyfriend/girlfriend” or“husband/wife.” Do not assume the sexual orientation of another person even when that person is in acommitted relationship with someone of a different gender. Many bisexuals, and even somegay men and lesbians, are in different-sex relationships. Also, do not assume that atransgender person is gay or will seek to transition to become heterosexual.
